Playoffs
It was nice to see the Mets pull off game one. I wasn't quite sure what to expect since El Duke and Pedro are out. Hopefully El Duke can make a come back later in the playoffs to help out cause we definitely need it! It would be nice for us to win both games at home and then have one game to win at L.A. I think sometime during the playoffs I'm going to try and do a running diary of one of the games. We'll see what happens.
Yup
Okay, so this morning I was in the shower and I was thinking about the tv shows that I watched last night. So, I decided that today I would write about my top 5 favorite tv shows now. Here you go:
1) 24. By far my favorite tv show of all time. Surprisingly it has surprassed G.I. Joe. Never thought this would happened but it has. Even last year, with a down year, 24 still had me hooked for every second of the season. I couldn't wait for each week and what was going to happen next! I can't wait to see what Keiffer has up his sleeves for seasons 6, 7, and 8. Here is the list of my favorite 24 seasons from best to worst: 3, 2, 4, 1, 5.
Who will be the Mets MVP in the postseason?
Uhhhhhh
So things are pretty boring right now on the Mets front. We've clinched the division already and the best record in the NL, so we'll have home field advantage until the world series. We've been playing a lot of our backups so that to get them ready and rest our starters. So, until playoffs start, I'm going to use this blog to talk about other things. If there's a topic that you want me to write on, just leave me a comment and I'll write about it. So, on Saturday I watched one of the best football games I've seen since the Giants win over the Eagles last week. He he. That was Notre Dame's come back win over Michigan State.
Pedro
Okay, so we lost last night, no big deal. The big deal, though, is Pedro is getting better. He was doing awesome through four innings before he hit a snag with the defense. He did strike out 7 in five innings. Not too shabby. Hopefully in his next start he can win and get his era under 4.00. I think he'll be at almost 100% which will be really good for our playoff chances. I think we have a great chance of going deep in the playoffs and Pedro is a necessity for that. We'll see what happens.
Its Playoff Time
Okay, so its time for the Mets to concentrate on the playoffs, which is why we had no starters playing the on Tuesday. I think its going to be a very interesting playoff run for us. We know that the top three starters are going to be Pedro, Glavine - who's been on fire his last couple of starts, and El Duke. In a 7 game series, who is going to be the 4th starter? John Maine, Steve Trachsel, Oliver Perez, and Dave Williams all have a fighting chance to be that 4th starter. I really like Oliver Perez. He's got good stuff, he just needs to minimize the mistakes that he makes. I think next year he could be a really good starter for us.
New York Mets Tickets: How To Find The Best Ones

There are a variety of ways to get Mets tickets. Primary ticket sellers, like the Mets themselves or Ticketmaster.com often have some game tickets. Their prices are good, although it may be difficult to find the best seats.
Secondary ticket brokers are people whose business it is to buy up spare tickets and resell them for a higher prices. When they hawk them outside the stadium, they're called scalpers, but there are many brokers who run legitimate businesses from offices across the country. The price may be higher, but they typically have better seats.
I've bought tickets from brokers many times and always had a positive experience. Having brokers lets everyone get tickets if they are willing to pay for them, rather someone who manages to buy them way in advance. That's good for me, because I love the Mets so much, I prefer to pay more in order to sit right up close. Some of the better broker websites I've found are:
TicketLiquidator.com
Ebay.com
Stubhub.com
Hailstorm.com
Classified Ads:
Getting Mets tickets directly from a person can be risky, since they don't have the same security measures in place as there are for primary or secondary sellers. You still might get a good deal, especially just before the game happens. Good classified listings are:
Craigslist.org
USTBA.com
Conclusion:
If you just want to get in to the game, primary sellers(the Mets, Ticketmaster) are the way to go. For better seats and superior Mets tickets, broker sites like Ticket Liquidator are far more superior to StubHub. Enjoy the game!
