Weekend

Okay, so this weekend was a very up and down and up and down and back up weekend. Let's take game 2 for instance. Mets go up 3-0 in the first. St. Louis Scores 2. We score 1. They score 2. We score 2. They score 2. Then they finish us off with 3 more. Then, game three started and man was it horrible. Steve T just couldn't pitch. I think we got lucky that he got hit by the ball and could be out of the rest of the playoffs. And so I continued on my downward spiral. Then a ray of hope came in the form of Darren Oliver and his spectacular pitching that pretty much saved our bullpen. Then came game 4. It started on a down. Then came Beltran and Wright. And then the rest of the offense came. And we blew away the Cards. Even though his numbers don't show it, I thought Oliver Perez pitched great for what we needed him to do. It was nice to see our offense put up 12 runs after not scoring in a couple decades. And, what people haven't been talking about at all, the bullpen hasn't given up a run in 10 1/3 innings. He he, they seem to be on fire. So, tonight's game has been postponed until tomorrow, which is great for us, because it will mean that Glavine will be on full rest when he pitches and he's on a 13 inning scoreless streak. This is turning out to be a great series. Let's hope our Mets make it to the World Series.
