The Mets look to get going during interleague play

The New York Mets are still trying to get hot while trying to deal with multiple injuries to some of the teams biggest stars. Despite the injuries, fans with New York Mets tickets are still eager to get into Citi Field to see the team take on the rest of the NL. City Field has been celebrated as a great retro-style baseball stadium that is not breaking all kinds of home run records.
But while the Mets have been doing a good job of staying near the top of the NL East, you know they are going to have to step up their game if they are going to keep up with the Philadelphia Phillies and the Atlanta Braves. The Phils have been playing a lot better, and the Braves are making moves signaling they want to make it to the post-season again. The Amazin' need your support so buy your New York Mets tickets so that you can be there to cheer them on.

Mets to Play Red Sox at Fenway May 22 - 24

I've took a look at the Mets Schedule and saw that once again the Mets are headed up to Boston's Fenway Park to take on the Boston Red Sox during interleague play. It is always a treat to play against a team as talented and storied as the BoSox, so I am indeed looking forward to it. If you are looking to get into the game, then you can take a look at Red Sox vs Mets tickets and see what is up there. You might have also heard of these things called Green Monster seat tickets, for the section atop Fenway's legendary wall. That might just be the best place to enjoy a baseball game, so take a look. And speaking of the Red Sox, you can take a look at affordable Boston Red Socks tickets for info on that, as well as this Red Sox ticket site that also has some really good sources.

The Eulogy

So, its the day after the Sugar Bowl and it sucks. Definitely not the way I wanted the careers of some of my favorite Irish players to end. It was sooooooo disappointing. By half time I thought we had a chance but for some reason the team didn't show up in the second half. So now Brady Quinn and Jeff Samardzija have completed their career at Notre Dame. Its been an interesting 4 years. From Brady's first season, to the arrival of Charlie Weis and the offense getting into gear to the debacles of the 3 losses this year. There have been a lot of highs and some really low lows, but I will still look upon these four years with happiness.

WTF????

Can someone please tell me why we traded Brian Bannister? Anyone??? For Burgous??? This guy sucked last year for the Royals!!! He had an era over 6! I'm glad I got my Royals tickets now because be blew 12 of 30 saves!!! I know we lost Bradford and that really really sucks, but come on, Burgous? Is that really our answer? I can't believe this.

Tuesday Night

So, I'm working late tonight and its dead here so I thought I'd write a little bit about this season for our beloved Fighting Irish. The only thing I can describe this season is a disappointment. It really has. We had a couple of great come from behind victories, Michigan State & UCLA(which now doesn't seem so bad cause they just beat USC) but we got killed in our two big games this year. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh is all I want to say. Its been so disappointing. Its like the team was on auto-pilot the whoel season. I will say that I'm really happy with what Brady Quinn did this year. His one bad game really wasn't his fault.

He's Back!!!

As everyone is probably aware of right now, Mr. Tom Glavine is back in a Mets uniform. I'm glad he is, he's been really good for us these past 4 years. It'll be nice for him to get his 300th win with us next season. What are the odds that he'll go into the Hall of Fame as a Met???? Probably pretty little, but that's okay. Now we can focus our attention on getting Zito to come to NY. If we do, this will be our rotation until Pedro comes back:

1. Zito
2. Glavine
3. El Duke
4. John Maine
5. Oliver Perez

Now, when Pedro comes back after the all star break, where do you put him? I'm thinking inbetween Zito and Glavine.

Heartbreak City

Okay, so this weekend really sucked in regards to my sports teams. They either blew a big lead against a team they shouldn't have, or they lost big in a game they needed to and could have won. So, it got me to thinking about an article that I wanted to write for a while. What are the 5 worst losses that I have lived through? Sadly I knew what they were right away. So here they are in order of how much they hurt to least. Well, they all really hurt.

1) Notre Dame versus Boston College - 1993. This game came 1 week after the first "game of the century". ND had just defeated Florida State, the #1 ranked team in the nation the week before in an amazing game. All ND had to do is squash unranked BC. Easy task, right? No. Some how ND's defense just couldn't stop BC at all. What is this? Is Doug Floutie playing qb? Nope. I guess ND was looking ahead towards the National Championship game. Well, they looked too far ahead. ND came back in the last two minutes to score to take the lead. Less than a minute left, BC drove down the field and hit a 40 yard plus field goal to win the game. And the worst part? ND had a chance to pick off an easy pass to end the game, but it slipt right out of their hands. Just like the National Championship. This was the first time that I learned what true heartbreak. It was horrible. I didn't think I could survive or feel anything like it.

Get rid of the BCS

Okay, I think the college football gods will finally agree on something. We need to get rid of the BSC. Its horrible. There's no point to it. It needs to be done with. Right now we have 2 undefeated teams and like 8 one loss teams in college football. We need a tournament to figure out who the best team is. Its not that hard, I promise. You just need to take the 6 conference winners from the bcs conferences and then have 10 at large teams. I think actually we should could come up with a mid major conference winner two, so we could have 7 automatic wins and 9 at large bids. It wouldn't be that complicated or bad.

Tuesday

Yeah, I finally got my internet set up at home again. Yeah, I'm just really lazy. Sorry about that. I'll try and post more now. Anywho, last saturday's ND game was pretty good. Once again our defense got beat up on in the first half, but then we were able to make adjustments at half time and completely shut down navy, who has the 2nd best rush defense. It was nice to see Brady make some of the throws that he did, like the TD pass to David Grimes. McKnight had a really good game and I liked how Darius Walker ran. We're looking pretty good. Its nice to feel like we can win any game we're in.

I figured it out!

Okay, since the amazin's are out of it, and since I don't have a blog for my favorite college football team, I'm going to write about Notre Dame in this blog. Plus, other random stuff. Should be interesting. Hopefully I can get up more blogs than the past few weeks. Sorry, my hard drive crashed and I've been lazy getting my internet back on. So, I'm at work now, staying late so I can write this. Last Saturday's game was amazing. Well, at least the ending was. I just knew that once we stopped them three and out and got the ball back that we could win it. I just didn't think it could happen the way it did.
